Trust Labels and Show the Calculation: What the Checks Mean
A chip on each Studio item shows Answers checked by code, Checked teacher review recommended, or Needs review. A How this was checked panel lists the real checks, sources, and the calculation. The five trust levels are explained in plain language.
Trust labels
A chip on each Studio item shows one of: Answers checked by code, Checked, teacher review recommended, or Needs review. A How this was checked panel lists the real checks, sources, and the calculation. Show the calculation on answers shows the work. Report a problem is on every page.
The five trust levels
- Computed by code — answers are produced by code.
- Computed twice and compared — two independent code methods agree.
- From a cited source — data comes from a named database or reference.
- AI-written and independently checked — AI wrote the content, then code checked the answers.
- AI-written, review recommended — AI wrote the content; review before use.
Never claim that answers are never wrong, guaranteed, 100 percent accurate, error-free, or perfect. Say computed by code and double-checked where that is what the trust record says. Mistakes are still possible, and Report a problem exists.
Where trust labels appear
Trust labels appear only on generated items and practice sheets. They say how answers were checked, not where content came from. Not every activity has a trust label.
Frequently asked questions
Are the answers always correct?
No. Trust labels say how answers were checked, not that they are perfect. Computed-by-code answers are double-checked, but mistakes are still possible. Use Report a problem on any page if you find an error.
